Class 1 Truck Drivers will operate and maintain tandem, truck and pup, end dump, quad wagons, and super b configurations delivering various materials or equipment to jobs and customers. The successful applicant may be required to load and unload truck. The majority of time as a class 1 driver is spent driving. Previous experience backing into an asphalt paver, loading asphalt under a silo, operating a loader and spreading gravel are all considered valuable assets.

This position requires a Class 1 license

Job Overview and Responsibilities
- Maintain daily logs as required, perform trip inspection on equipment operated and loaded ensuring safety and road worthiness, other paperwork as necessary
- Experience loading, securing and transporting various types of materials and or heavy equipment would be an asset
- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, drivers hours, and occupational health & safety
- Comply with Border Paving Ltd. safe working procedures and practices
- Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime, weekend and out of town work as required during the construction season (May November)
- Other duties as required
