The Corporate Communications Director is responsible for managing internal and external communications for Canada in alignment with the firm’s enterprise strategy as a member of the enterprise corporate communications team.
**Essential Duties**:
- Develop a comprehensive communications strategy for RSM Canada that encompasses all stakeholders and supports the Canadian strategy and objectives in alignment with RSM’s vision, purpose, values and strategy, as well as its enterprise strategic positioning. This includes working closely with the Canadian leadership team and the corporate communications team to understand the strategy and build plans accordingly.
- Develop internal communications to inform, engage and motivate employees around business priorities in alignment with the firm's enterprise strategy.
- Working with the public relations director and outside agency, develop media relations strategies for Canada, train spokespeople, build relationships with local or trade reporters and coordinate interviews. Seek to actively position RSM as a leading In Canada through the media.
- Collaborate with counterparts on the communications, marketing and growth team and other functional areas (HR, finance, etc.) to ensure that communications are planned, aligned, sequenced and integrated across the enterprise, and that shared resources are engaged and leveraged appropriately into plans and projects.
- Work closely with advisees to foster collaboration, development opportunities and career growth aligned with individuals’ aspirations and the needs and expectations of the enterprise.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
**EDUCATION**:
- BA/BS in Communications, English or Journalism is required.
- MBA or MS in communications is preferred.
**TECHNICAL SKILLS**:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills (required)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (required)
- SharePoint (preferred)
- Viva Engage (preferred)
**EXPERIENCE**:
- 10 years of corporate communications experience required
- Demonstrated experience defining and managing communications strategy for a business unit is required
- Effective presentation and communication skills required
**LEADERSHIP SKILLS**:
- Highly collaborative and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to
achieve results required
- Ability to coach executives in developing compelling messaging and
delivering effective communications is required.
Compensation Range: $125,500 - $188,500
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
