Party Store General Manager

**Summary**

The Tent Crew Lead will be responsible for leading the daily activities of their assigned crew and ensuring that the crew’s work is completed timely, safely, and satisfactorily. The Crew Lead will complete and delegate various tasks at special events jobsites, including erecting tents, setting up stage, setting up dance floor, unloading chairs and tables, setting up lighting, and all accompanying or assigned tasks. When such work is not available, this position will be required to complete other routine work as assigned, such as completing deliveries and pickups, loading and unloading trucks, cleaning, preparing orders, and other assigned duties. This role will act as a crew lead, but will also be expected to work in larger crews under the direction of a more senior lead.

**Job Duties**
- Lead the daily activities of assigned crew staff.
- Complete special events setups and teardowns in entirety, including picking necessary material for jobs, loading and unloading trucks, driving loads to site, setting up material, and other associated duties.
- Drive various-sized class-5 trucks safely and competently, including pickup trucks, cube vans, 3-ton trucks, flat deck trucks, and other vehicles.
- Operate forklifts as necessary in order to retrieve and store inventory.
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements on site.
- Ensure that all setups are completed to proper specifications to ensure safe customer use.
- Ensure that underground lines have been marked, and overhead lines are identified and have safe clearance, before setting up any tents.
- Ensure that operational processes are followed by the assigned crew throughout setup, teardown, loading, and any other stages of work.
- Train new crew members on routine tasks while on jobsites.
- Communicate with customers as needed, ensuring that special requests or instructions from customers are properly considered. Ensure that any contingencies, issues, or adjustments are communicated to customers as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including loading and unloading trucks, general warehouse work, completing deliveries, and other projects and duties as assigned.
- Work as a part of a larger crew lead by other crew leads, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills.
- Ability to complete physical or laborious work.
- Effectiveness in the areas of worksite safety and productivity.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Sound judgement and reasoning.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.

**Work Conditions**
- Physical ability to lift up to 75lbs.
- Travel to the site, and off-site locations will be required.
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Overtime as required.
- Hazards associated with the work.
- Work both indoors and outdoors.
- Working in heat and cold while outside will be required.

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
