- Demonstrates leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills. - Knowledge of community resources.
- Previous experience with programs and activities is preferred
- Previous experience in a Retirement Home setting is considered an asset - Certified in CPR and First Aid (Level C).
- Valid driver’s license with good standing.
- Current police check.
- TB skin test. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

- Ensures the provision of quality or recreation and leisure services setting standards as required meeting individual Resident social and psychological needs and their expectations using a Resident centered approach.
- Ensures interdisciplinary care deliveries in which the Resident and family with the Residents consent are considered as integral members of the team. - Communicates with and supports families in their involvement and participation.
- Ensures accurate documentation of recreation and leisure, volunteer, social work, and pastoral services for the Residents.
- Participates in the assessment of the Residents’ recreation, social and family needs of new and potential Residents.
- Using a variety of programs including, individual, small and large group, active and passive, leisure, recreation and therapeutic.
- Working co-operatively and collaboratively with other members of care team to coordinate Resident programs and to ensure needs are being met.
- Promoting, participating and encouraging restorative care activity and social programs to ensure maximum opportunity for each Resident to function independently. Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the hiring process as required Ressam Gardens Accommodation policy

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: $17.23 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19, Must have a clear vulnerable sector search, and a recent TB screen
