Owned collectively by the Inuit of Nunavik through the Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs over 1,000 people in one of the world's most demanding flying environments. Air Inuit's management and team of dedicated employees are committed to pursuing the company's mission of providing safe, punctual and courteous air service to the people living and doing business in the beautiful Nunavik region of northern Quebec. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** - Prepare and check loads; - Participate in aircraft loading and unloading; - Assist in the preparation of cargo shipping documents; - Receive and distribute cargo; - Operate forklift; - Participate in aircraft de-icing; - Report "Marshaling" aircraft; - All other duties deemed necessary by the company to ensure the operation's effectiveness. **QUALIFICATIONS** - High school diploma or equivalent; - Bilingual (English/Inuktituk) or (French/Inuktituk) or (French/English); - Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure in a physically challenging environment; - Hold a valid driving license; - Experienced in driving forklifts; - Available to travel occasionally for training; - Available to work evenings, nights and weekends; - If the position is filled locally, the work location will be Kuujjuaq; **WORKING CONDITIONS** Rotational position - 2 weeks of work followed by 2 weeks off. If the position cannot be filled locally, airfare from Montreal, room and board is included. **REMUNERATION** Remuneration is determined in accordance with corporate policy. **BENEFITS** Air Inuit provides a company-contributed RRSP, Group Insurance (life, dental, health care, short and long-term disability), 6% vacation, telemedicine, and EAP program for the employee and his family members, a retirement allowance program, and various other innovative benefits and recognition opportunities.
