**Responsibilities**:
PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provides expertise, support, and guidance in the day-to-day operations and planning for EDI initiatives, which includes designing, developing, and implementing strategies to improve equity, diversity, and inclusion mandate across the organization. Supports the implementation of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging strategic roadmap, which will support and foster an open and inclusive environment at TransLink.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supports the Director, EDI and Employee Experience in the implementation of the strategic diversity, inclusion, and belonging roadmap. Leverages expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion, ensuring that the strategies are both practical and commercial and address the areas that require focus.

Develops, implements, and manages EDI in HR functions, including Talent Management, Compensation, Organization Development & Employee Relations. Partners with all these functions to develop solutions and tools that support the EDI agenda. Ensures programs align with the approach and content of human resources programs such as employee onboarding, professional development, recognition, performance improvement, engagement, and succession plan.

Provides ongoing expertise and support to the EDI portfolio by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on reports on Diversity and Inclusion metrics to measure trends, opportunities report on the progress of Inclusion strategies and plans and addresses gaps.

Develops, project manages, and/or facilitate presentations, training and information sessions on equity, diversity and inclusion, performance/KPI metrics, dashboards, and templates that are designed to improve organizational awareness around inclusion, diversity, and equity (e.g., unconscious bias awareness, allyship/bystander, cultural fluency, anti-racism, gender expression & identity, human rights training, etc.).

Participates and drives continuous improvement in Employee Resource Groups (ERGs by identifying and conducting research on best practices, - building mechanisms to understand needs, and establishing areas of focus. Gathers information related to ERG matrix and supports the Lead in developing the framework and provides on-going support.

Provides advice and guidance to employees, business units, leadership and diversity committee that drive diversity, equity and inclusion outcomes for the organization.

Participates in cross functional EDI focus groups or committees, that initiates, advises and mobilizes support for initiatives related to EDI and establishes a shared understanding of EDI across the organization. Develops metrics for measuring the effectiveness of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) initiatives and provides meaningful data to key stakeholders to create insight and influence opinions.

Supports the sustainability and continuous improvements of processes within Inclusion projects/strategies and provides a structured project management approach across multiple strategic initiatives.

**Qualifications**:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The requirements for this job are acquired through a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences or in a related field plus six (6) years of progressive experience in monitoring and executing EDI initiatives with large public and/or private organizations.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Advanced level of EDI Knowledge and Expertise: standards, techniques, tools, implementation frameworks, partners, troubleshooting, and support.

Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to provide specialized guidance and expertise to managers, staff, and customers; and to develop and manage critical relationships at all levels in the enterprise.

Action-oriented, passionate, and tenacious to work through to the end of the program development and implementation
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to handle conflict resolution, facilitating discussion and alternatives of different approaches to resolving critical and high-impact issues.
