Shipper/receiver

**Element5 is looking for a Shipper/Receiver to join our day shift**

The Shipper/Receiver role shall provide support in various capacities to the Supply Chain and Operations teams either directly or indirectly. This role will be based on the Shop Floor and will have direct accountability to ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments are processed in a timely fashion both physically and within the ERP systems. The role shall interface with multiple areas of the business internal as well as external carriers and suppliers. Following documented procedures the Shipper/Receiver shall ensure accuracy of the transactions they perform while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Validate supplier documentation, enter Receipts into the ERP system in accordance with the documented process. Highlight damage/scrap/safety concerns, ensure proper put away practice is followed. Ensure Lot Control & Expiration information is entered into the ERP system. Ensure safe loading practices are followed.

Ensure materials are properly labelled before put-away is complete. For Raw Lumber, this process must be completed before the load is taken off the truck

This role will provide general support to the entire Operations team. Specific tasks will be assigned and come through their manager to ensure there is a clear set of priorities each day.

This role will provide overall support to the facility including production related support tasks that ensure efficient operations within the Plant each day by ensuring there is daily communication with the Supervisors.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Combinations of experience and relevant training may be considered.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office is a requirement.
- ERP experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Level 2 Excel knowledge is an asset.
- Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
- High energy, motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, while being assertive in a team environment.
- Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision.
- Highly collaborative and hands on.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Able to work under stress and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional composure.

**Education and Experience**:

- 3+ years experience in a warehousing role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in job shop or Engineer to Order environment
- Experience with transacting data within ERP systems to understand their inputs/outputs
- Experience in Shipping/Receiving
- Previous forklift certification
- Materials management courses will be considered an asset either at the continuing education level

**Working Conditions**:

- This role involves physical effort, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work environment may contain dust and noise.
