**DESCRIPTION**:
**WHAT YOU GET TO DO**:
**ATCO CPA Pre-Approved Program**

**Responsibilities**:
A sample of responsibilities during rotations vary and could include the following:

- Performing:

- routine and complex journal entries
- account reconciliations and variance analysis
- internal audits over financial, operational information technology processes
- testing of internal controls over financial reporting (C-SOX)
- Preparing and analyzing:

- audit packs and various support schedules
- financial statements including note disclosures
- budgets and forecasts
- internal management reporting and various analysis
- Evaluating / reviewing:

- accounting policies and procedures

Demonstrating enabling competency development throughout all rotations

**What our Program Offers You**:

- Working environment that prepares you to become a certified CPA by providing supervision and guidance through on-the-job training and progress reviews

- Structured training positions which provide a sufficient range of progressively complex assignments and increasing responsibility to allow you to achieve the required practical experience in the technical and enabling competencies within 30 months of employment
- Ensure you are documenting your developing competencies in our internal tracking tool and later in PERT

- Financial support for CPAWSB PEP and the CFE preparation. Support also includes enrollment in a leading CFE prep program and an in-house case marking pool
- Potential for a placement in a permanent role after the successful completion of practical experience based on business need, your performance and interest

- Ability to produce results with accuracy and quality
- Work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
- Very good working knowledge of excel and word
- Bachelor’s degree with CPA PEP pre-requisite business and accounting courses
- Successful academic record - university transcripts (required**), and CPA PEP transcript assessment (if degree already completed)
- CPA Program Progress
- Any Practical Experience Reporting Tool (PERT) Reports + Consolidated Summary
- Self-assessment of competencies earned to date if no experience reports in PERT
