Fabrication Warehouse Supervisor

**What would you be doing?**
- Assist with identifying areas of improvement and action plans to correct and/or improve processes and procedures.
- Advise on repairing and maintaining industrial equipment and tools to ensure care is being conducted per compliance requirements. Capture and upload maintenance and inspection records for FLINT-owned and leased equipment in the Asset Management ERP.
- Ensure maintenance schedules are followed for equipment to secure warranties the manufacturer provides. Ensure that assets, tools, equipment storage, and handling materials are requisitioned using proper procedures from approved suppliers.
- Coordinate physical warehouse and supply chain activities to ensure physical inventories are conducted, material and equipment requests are appropriately received, actioned, and accounted for in a timely manner, and materials are stored using orderly, systematic methods.
- Follow up on safety work orders with the applicable associates to ensure requests are performed expeditiously. Utilize policies and procedures to guarantee the best value and service for FLINT.
- Conduct ongoing safety inspections throughout the warehouse/yard and other facilities and correct or issue work orders to correct any identified deficiencies.
- Work collaboratively with the Supply Chain Management group to action requests while focusing on order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Team to source materials in the most timely and financially responsible manner. Hire, motivate, train, and, when required, terminate hourly reporting staff with approval from the Manager, Assets, Tools, and Equipment.
- Ensure vehicle incidents are managed as per corporate policies and insurance requirements. Ensures accurate and timely logging of all tools, equipment, and assets in the Asset Management ERP.
- Prepare and submit requisitions in conjunction with Operations as required. Perform other duties as needed and handle special projects from time to time as assigned by management.

**Does this sound like you?**
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving, ideally in piping fabrication.
- Consideration will also be given to individuals with a structural or plate fabrication supervisor background.
- Strong understanding of materials, grades, and shapes.
- Organizational and load planning skills.
- Effective leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to prepare, analyze and present reports.
- Ability to create and maintain accurate and organized documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with core Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- High School Diploma and relevant work experience. Post-secondary education in logistics/material management is considered an asset.
- Possess both Loader and Forklift Certifications.
- Working towards CPIM/APICS or SCMP designation is considered an asset.
- Preferred 2 years experience in supply chain management, logistics and inventory management.
- Previous experience managing a Shipping and Receiving Department for a pipe spool fabrication shop is considered an asset.
