**Production Supervisor**

**Afternoon Shift**

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this afternoon shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am) Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination and direction of orders through the production and manufacturing process in the cells that are responsible for creating parts using open and closed mold techniques.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Supervise the employees in the department, including performance management, productivity monitoring/improvement, communication and timely follow up.
- Promote and maintain good employee and labour relations as a member of the plant leadership team.
- Responsible and accountable for performing annual internal audits, and initiating action and resolve corrective actions (CAPARs) to continually improve the effectiveness of the quality system and company processes.
- Communicate the hours, procedures and material requirements in order to control costs and meet the goals of the company in operating profitably.
- Participate in the Return to Work process; determine the list of duties an injured worker would be capable of doing and assist in monitoring their progress. Examine the potential for other positions the worker may be capable of and qualified for.
- Ensure a safe work environment as a top priority, with emphasis on training employees, addressing hazards, conducting investigations and enforcing safety policies, procedures and behaviour.
- Ensure the highest levels of product quality, optimization of department efficiencies and reduce waste.
- Lead daily communication meetings with Grinding and Assembly employees and address employee concerns.
- Ensure all equipment inspections/checklists are completed daily.
- Enforce all Company policies and procedures and administration of the collective agreement.
- Work closely with other functions (e.g. Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, QA) in achieving key objectives for the plant and addressing and mitigating production issues.
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping practices.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in composites, fibreglass or similar industry would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Oracle would be beneficial.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of 5S principles would be an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
