The Structural Inspector is responsible for performing daily of slide inspections, repairs and structural installations and alterations within the World Waterpark and West Edmonton Mall.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Following required processes for conducting daily and routine inspections and safety checks on all slides and attraction related structures within the World Waterpark.
- Performing and completing all required comprehensive daily slide and park checks, inspections, performing accurate record keeping and completing checklists as per set guidelines.
- Responding to and completing related maintenance work orders from associated attraction departments on a timely basis by following West Edmonton Mall standard operating procedures.
- Assisting in the installation and repair of fiberglass slide units and in the assembly and installation of fabricated parts and coordinating projects in conjunction with the Structural and Ironworker Supervisor and external contractors.
- Performing on-the-job repairs both prior to and during park operational hours keeping respect for guests and co-workers safety at all times.
- Preforming other trade related projects and tasks within the scope of the trade certification held by the individual in the position; this will include tasks, duties and projects with any of the parks and attractions areas or within the West Edmonton Mall Property Inc.’s jurisdiction.
- Assisting in various other maintenance projects, tasks or responsibilities as required.

Desired Qualifications:

- Completion of an Alberta or Red Seal Certification in Ironwork, Welding, or a related trade.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in an associated trade position with strong practical mechanical skills.
- A dedication and knowledge of health and safety measures needed to perform each task is required.
- Experience and knowledge of water slides, fiberglass assembly and polyester resin/hand laminating is an asset.
- Must be able to effectively utilize the appropriate tools and materials and time for required tasks.
- A high level of professionalism complemented by strong verbal and written communication skills and the capability to work with various trades people, contractors, technical personnel, executives and owners.
- Able to work at heights, strong attention to detail, and great problem solving skills are a definite asset.
- Able to lift and carry up to 23 Kgs (50lbs).

Terms of Employment:

- This is a full-time position that is requires flexible availability Monday through Sunday, dependent of schedules and projects.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $38.50-$39.00 per hour
