Our **Goderich** branch has an immediate opening for an **Inventory Control Coordinator.**
The hours of this position are **Mondays - Fridays, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.**
**Position Objective**:
Monitor and Maintain inventory control of all customer orders and stocking functions, stock orders and related accounting functions.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality
- Project a positive attitude for the benefit of our customers and fellow employees
- Read, understand, and adhere to all rules, regulations and procedures as required by Altruck International Truck Centres
- Place emergency orders per established schedule and as requested
- Place stock orders as requested
- Keep track of back ordered customers’ orders, ensure promises obtained and advise appropriate Parts Staff in a timely manner with accurate information is to their delivery
- Ensure all parts that were ordered and not required are placed on a request to return to the supplier within the required program timeframes.
- Ensure all authorized parts are returned to the proper supplier in a timely manner
- Ensure credits are received for all returned parts
- Post receipts of inventory into the computer, from time-to-time
- Advise parts delivery drivers of required pickups/deliveries
- Assist Parts Manager in the planning and forecasting of goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
- Monitor product order trends, such as number of parts orders completed with inventory control department, number of items per order and dollar sales per order
- Other tasks as assigned
**Requirements**:
- CDK experience an asset
- High school diploma
- Post-secondary education in Inventory Management or equivalent industry experience
- 1 - 5 years’ experience in inventory management
- Truck/Automotive parts knowledge
- An aptitude for arithmetic, an ability to read catalogues and technical materials, and legible handwriting are essential
- Familiarity with inventory control best practices
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Intermediate Excel skills required
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities
- Strong math skills, basic accounting skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- Have qualifications or ability to receive learn to operate fork lift and other material handling equipment.
**Working Conditions**
The Inventory Control Coordinator may be required to lift heavy items from time to time, and will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. He or she will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. This individual must request assistance for very heavy objects or parts (anything that is heavier than 50 lbs.) This is a physically demanding position..
