**CONTRACT SPECIALIST** Richmond Hybrid work **The opportunity** We are seeking for a skilled professional with in-depth experience of contract management to join our team. As a Contract Specialist, you oversee the development, implementation and management of the entire vendor lifecycle and contract management processes within the organization. Your primary focus is on building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiating and managing contracts, rationalizing contracts and vendors, monitor and manage vendor performance related to services they deliver to BC Ferries, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligation. **The Role** Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as: - Supporting full lifecycle vendor and contract management - Maintaining contract repository and managing the end-to-end process from post-award through close-out - Preparing documentation for contract closeout and ensures all documentation is processed and properly archive - Preparing contract amendments to ensure effectiveness of contractual change management and reviewing financial implications - Cultivating and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure alignment with organization goals and objectives - Acting as the primary point of contact for vendor communications, issue resolution and escalations - Regularly meeting with internal stakeholders and Tier 1 Suppliers to ensure all aspects of assigned contracts are met and vendor is performing as per contractual obligations - Preparing documentation related to formal notices, letters, changes, claims, reports and any other contract management documentation - Highlighting risks in the contracts to the stakeholders and supporting in managing the identified risks - Collaborating with stakeholders and supporting reporting manager to develop and implement risk mitigation plans, track risks and reporting on any concerns - Liaising with cross-functional teams internally, and with external stakeholders regarding commercial aspects of the assigned contracts - Assisting in the development of Contract & Vendor Management (CVM) **What you bring to the team** You are highly organized, analytical and results-driven with the ability to recognize sensitive information and maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality using fair business practices. **Join us** **Additional information** - "We connect communities and customers to people and places important in their lives”_ - We appreciate the interest of all applicants; however only those selected for an interview will be contacted._ Pay: $64,300.00-$80,400.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company pension - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - Vision care Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
