**What does the job look like?**
As a Road Maintenance Crew Member, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safe roads year-round by performing essential tasks to maintain and enhance road infrastructure. You'll be responsible for road maintenance tasks such as spring clean-up of our roads, bridges, as well as road repairs such as pothole patching, replacing signs, and guard rails. While performing Labourer duties, you'll be responsible for safely operating our pick-up trucks and heavy equipment, along with operating our snow plows during the winter season.
- ** Road & Roadside Maintenance**: You will perform activities such as traffic control (flagging), pothole patching, weed whacking, brushing, ditching, shouldering, sign repairs, washout repairs, guide rail repairs, and snow plowing.
In accordance with County Policy, a Police Record Check that is acceptable to the County will be required as a condition of employment.

- ** Our non-negotiables**: You have a DZ license or higher.
- ** Experience**: You have experience working in labour intensive jobs such as construction, road maintenance, property maintenance, or a related field. You are comfortable operating equipment such as pickup trucks, tandem trucks, backhoes, loaders, forklifts, chainsaws, and chippers. Previous experience with snow removal, traffic control and flagging would be considered an asset.
