**THE ROLE**
Steeped in a rich military heritage and tradition, messes have been used by the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) throughout Canada's history to foster morale and promote military values including camaraderie and unit cohesiveness. Messes give members a strong sense of commitment to the ideas, objectives and the basic responsibility expected of them within the CAF and set the standard for military service within Canada. CFMWS provides support to all CAF messes. Specifically, PSP Hospitality Services provides expertise on operational and management practices and assists mess managers in providing quality mess hospitality services.

As a Server, you provide an excellent customer experience in the Canadian Forces Messes. During big events to every day moments, you will build a rapport with the military community and get to experience various military traditions.

The server will greet customers, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages. You will operate a Point of Sales system, take orders, relay them to the kitchen and bar staff and serve food and beverages.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

AND

Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (Ontario)
Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Smart Serve Ontario)
Food Handling Certification, as required

**Experience**

In serving food and beverages
In cash handling
In providing customer service

- Multiple positions available
- Up to 13 1/3 hours per week
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 50 lbs/23 kg).
- May be required to work at multiple mess locations in the NCR
