**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Set up, operate, and maintain heat-sealing bagging machines.
- Ensure accurate weighing and filling of products by monitoring and adjusting scaling systems as needed.
- Ensure proper machine setup for various bagging specifications and sizes.
- Monitor production runs to maintain quality control and compliance with GMP, HACCP, and SQF policies.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on bagging machines.
- Lift and handle up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Follow all health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in training programs and stay updated on safety protocols.
- Utilize walkie/rider pallet lifts to move products as required.
- Assist in the training of new operators and provide guidance on machine operation.
- Document production outputs, inventory level and report any machine malfunctions or quality issues.
- Perform other tasks as required to support production goals and team objectives..
**Skills**
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating bagging machines in the food industry, specifically with heat-sealing equipment and scaling systems.
- Proven ability to lift and handle weights of up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to work in a cold environment.
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
- Flexibility to work a varying schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Current Canadian work permit is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with walkie/rider pallet lifts.
Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures.
- Certification in health and safety practices.
- Familiarity with production reporting systems.
