Summer Student

My Happy Place Daycare & OSC is looking for a SUMMER STUDENT (Could possibly lead to a full-time position)

We are looking to add a full-time summer student as a child care worker/early childhood educator to our busy, growing team.

Applicants must be willing to learn and implement a pre-planned, holistic-based curriculum.

Qualifications:

- Must be 18+ years old
- Level 1, 2 or 3 Child Care certificate preferred, but not required
- Minimum 1 year of child care experience preferred
- Clean criminal record check with vulnerable sector search required
- Must be available to work any shift between 7 am and 5:30 pm Monday through Friday (Shifts are 8 hours per day, with a one-hour break)

Job Requirements (including but not limited to):

- Work with children between the ages of 12 months and 12 years old
- Implement our unique holistic-based curriculum with all children
- Implement all policies and procedures
- Proper communication between parents, children, and staff
- Assisting and redirecting children in situations when conflicts arise
- Ensure a safe and clean environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: $15.55-$24.62 per hour
