**Job Description**:
The department of Early Childhood Education at snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓, Langara College offers a Diploma program in Early Childhood Education, an Early Childhood Education Certificate program, and Post Basic Citation programs in Early Childhood Special Needs and Infant and Toddler Care and Education.
The Early Childhood Education department is dedicated to comprehensive, student-centered pedagogy for early childhood education students, both in the classroom and through community practicum settings. The faculty emphasizes culturally sensitive practices, ensuring that all students receive an inclusive and respectful education that reflects current practices in the field.

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years experience in adult instruction, teaching early childhood education courses at the post secondary level or in-service work
- related training.
A minimum of 5 years direct experience working as a licensed Early Childhood Educator with children ages birth to 5 years of age.
A Master’s degree or equivalency (an undergraduate degree in a related field, plus 5 years’ experience working with children aged birth to 5 years of age).
Early Childhood Education Certificate or Diploma
Special Needs Certification
Infant Toddler Certification
Experience supporting and supervising students in early childhood education practicum.
Salary Range:
$45.88 - $142.49
Salary Range Placement: Salary placement is on Langara instructors’ salary scale in accordance with qualifications and experience.
