**Job Purpose**

The Dispatcher’s responsibility is to efficiently assign work to driver. Dispatchers analyze the available work to identify and create appropriate routes for drivers. The Dispatcher is responsible for daily inventory balancing on the trucks to ensure that fuel is accounted for.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Dispatch all trucks and drivers using AWE and creating delivery tickets
- Balance the trucks and ensure that stated deliveries balance actual deliveries
- Track loads, transfers & deliveries on an inventory summary spreadsheet, and balance to back office system, WTBS
- Confirming sales in WTBS
- Creating batches for Accounting Department
- Troubleshooting truck equipment as required
- Provide assistance to truck drivers, managers and customers as required
- Driving and supporting safety initiatives, including delivery of driver huddle meetings
- Assisting in and keeping an eye on facility condition, coordinating with Sr. Operations Manager to resolve any issues
- Ensuring customer communications are timely and accurate.
- Other duties as required

- Communication with other employees, customers, and drivers to complete tasks
- Build positive relationships with clients, promoting high level customer service
- Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with internal and external contact

**Problem Solving & Judgement**
- Manage and plan driver schedules and routes
- Solve scheduling conflicts and issues
- Resolve personnel issues

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Experience in truck/driver dispatching
- Knowledge of Ministry of Transportation regulations and the Highway and Traffic Act
- Experience working with databases and WTBS
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to change and multi-task
- Organized and detail oriented
