**The Baker will perform duties focusing primarily on completing the morning bake routine (baking all breads, feeding the sourdough starter, baking all other baked goods for the morning), mixing and folding bread doughs, monitoring dough proofing, and pre-shaping and shaping loaves. Due to the nature of the workspace, there may be cases where the Baker will be required to aid customers and handle cash. The Baker may also be required to perform other duties, such as weighing out ingredients for pastry doughs, making cookies, or assisting in other bakery duties.**

Like all members of the Elora Bread team, the Baker will be required to maintain a clean and organized workspace, work independently without supervision, as well as together as part of a team in front of customers.

Duties
- Follow production schedule and work efficiently to accomplish tasks
- Execute the morning baking schedule efficiently and consistently
- Pre-weigh and measure ingredients for bread doughs according to schedule
- Execute the mix in an orderly and timely fashion
- Following dough folding and proofing schedule
- Cut, shape and basket loaves according to their schedule
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of doughs, ingredients and other food items
- Maintain a clean working space at all times (cleaning dishes as you go, sanitizing your work area between tasks, sweeping at the end of your shift and cleaning mixers)
- Provide knowledgeable customer service when necessary
- Use of the in-store POS system

General duties
- Maintaining the cleanliness and safe operation of the equipment (oven, mixers, etc.)
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the workspace
- Refilling ingredient containers

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 35 per week
**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

**Experience**:
- Baking: 2 years (preferred)
