**Overview**
**Duties**
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
**Requirements**:
- Valid class 5 license with Air brake endorsement, or class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must provide a Clean Commercial Drivers abstract; valid within the past 30 days
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 100 lbs.) as needed during deliveries.
- Experience in commercial driving preferred; familiarity with Barrhead and/or Westlock is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment or forklifts is required.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is beneficial for minor vehicle maintenance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
