Pesticide Applicator

**Job Summary**:
We are a well-established clematis nursery located in Langley, BC, dedicated to the propagation and cultivation of high-quality clematis plants. We are seeking a knowledgeable and reliable **Pesticide Applicator** to help maintain healthy crops through safe and effective pest and disease management practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Monitor plants regularly for signs of pests, diseases, and deficiencies, and report findings to the greenhouse or nursery manager.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of pesticides and related materials.
- Comply with all WorkSafeBC and provincial pesticide regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist with general nursery operations such as pruning, watering, and transplanting as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid **British Columbia Pesticide Applicator Certificate** (Landscape or Agriculture category preferred).
- Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) principles and safe pesticide handling procedures.
- Ability to read and understand pesticide labels and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Attention to detail, good observation skills, and strong record-keeping ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in outdoor and greenhouse conditions.

**Working Conditions**:

- Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and handling of chemicals (with proper PPE provided).
- Standing, walking, lifting, and bending required throughout the day.

Pay: $17.75-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
