**Overview**

This position demands excellent organizational abilities, a deep understanding of food safety practices, and the capacity to maintain consistency across all dishes while mentoring a team to achieve excellence.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of service.
- Prepare and cook hot and cold dishes in accordance with restaurant recipes and quality standards.
- Manage mise en place for all stations to ensure readiness before service.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training.
- Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain inventory control and coordinate with management for ordering supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and implementing seasonal specials.
- Troubleshoot kitchen issues and implement solutions quickly to avoid service delays
- Foster a collaborative and positive kitchen environment, promoting teamwork and communication.
- Manage of the Kitchen when is need it.

**Experience**
- Minimum 1 years of proven experience in professional kitchens, preferably as a First Cook or in a senior cook position.
- Valid work permit or legal authorization to work in Canada
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of food safety, hygiene, portion control, and kitchen operations.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong knife skills and expertise in multiple cooking techniques.
- Ability to train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff.
- Creativity and passion for food presentation and menu innovation.

Pay: $17.20-$26.02 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
