Delivery Driver with Minivans/cargo Vans Needed

**Ship X Courier Inc. **is seeking self-employed delivery drivers to join our team and deliver packages in the **Ottawa region **(including urban & rural areas **[e.g., Downtown, Plantagenet, Orleans, Barrhaven, Carleton Place, Smith Falls, etc.).** We are looking for new team players that can learn fast and work efficiently.

**Job description**
- You are required to inspect, scan, and load your route into your vehicle in a timely manner.
- Also, deliver the packages to customers as per company’s standards within a set time limit.
- Daily work hours depend on multiple factors including size of route, area, and weather conditions.

**Requirements**:

- A valid driver's license (Full G license required) and good driving record (without major tickets).
- Vehicle insurance and registration
- A smartphone with a sufficient data plan
- Having access to a reliable minivan/cargo van. To be able to get your vehicle qualified for the job, **IT MUST BE**:

- **Color: white, black, silver, or gray**:

- **Year: 2014 or younger**:

- **Bonus: If your vehicle is less than 5 years old and you agree to have the company’s decals installed on your vehicle, you can get paid for that.**

**Abilities**
- Must be punctual and responsible
- Must be able to handle packages that are 40 lbs. and above
- Must be able to complete a route with 130-150 stops each day of work (approximately 140-200 packages)
- Must be comfortable with working in all weather conditions (e.g., cold, snowy, rainy, sunny etc.)
- **Delivery experience is another MAJOR ASSET,** but not required
- All Criminal background checks are paid for by the company
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

**Additional details to consider**:

- This position is an independent contractor position so you will be **self-employed**.
- We pay weekly and your weekly payout depends on the number of parcels you deliver each week.
- Drivers’ schedules are made weekly based on their availability.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

**Salary**: $1,100.00-$1,400.00 per week
