Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital (BBVSH) is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who is trained to perform radiographs, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy and centesis in small animals.

**Duties**:

- Operate radiograph, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy imaging equipment to produce and record images
- Perform radiograph, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to diagnostic equipment as required
- Record, store and process scanned diagnostic images by using camera unit connected to the diagnostic imaging equipment
- Prepare examination reports for veterinarians
- Check diagnostic imaging equipment to ensure proper operation
- Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing diagnostic imaging and treatment

**Tasks that may be asked include**:

- collect samples and perform other laboratory tests

**Requirements**:

- College or CEGEP certificate in veterinary technology (animal health technologist) preferred
- 5+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging
- 5+ years of experience in ultrasound
- Areas of specialization: Small (companion) animals, diagnostic imaging
- Willingness to relocate; relocation costs covered by employer
- Personal suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, good judgement, accuracy, reliability
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: work under pressure, fast-paced environment, attention to detail, physically demanding, combination of sitting, standing, and walking

$35.00 to 66.00 per hour
