Summary of Role

The General Labourer position is a full time regular, seasonal position on our fill site. This position reports to the Site Superintendent and works closely with team members on varying, routine and ad-hoc tasks. Saskay Land Development requires all work personnel ensure that their work is done in a safe and timely manner.

Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Perform daily site maintenance tasks to ensure the site is clean

2. Maintain a professional project site by collecting garbage and ensuring garbage collection bins are used properly, preventing littering in and around the site

3. Assist project site team members upon request by fulfilling all work requests

4. Maintain understanding and ensure compliance with SLD's safety program

5. Operate and maintain basic tools and equipment

6. Perform cleaning duties in and around site and offices ensuring clean and professional presentation at all times

7. Demonstrate commitment to ongoing learning & training

8. Perform other related duties as required

Education & Experience

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a labourer in the construction industry with basic knowledge and use of hand tools and power tools.

- Punctual, reliable & dependable
- Safety orientated

Preferred Certification and Ticket Holders for:

- TCP
- Flagging
- Bear Awareness Training

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 0K8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- construction: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
