**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Along with a RECE, assist in developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
- Assist in planning, developing and conducting programs keeping in view the individual needs of the children, through observations, documentation and interpretation
- Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities of the children
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with families of the children
- Keep accurate and current, the records as required by the Centre and the Ministry.
- Attend meetings and professional development seminars as required
- Being responsible for maintaining a healthy, safe, clean, stimulating environment for children in the assigned classroom and for the Centre.
- Perform housekeeping duties as required

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
- Current, clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children. Experience in working in a Montessori setting will be an asset.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR level “C”
- Up-to-Date Immunization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence to work under pressure
- Knowledge of multiple languages will be an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00 per hour
