Position Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial and Financial Performance Management (VP CFPM), this role will operate as the financial and strategic leader for the Canadian regional finance team. This individual will have extensive interaction with the global organization and become a critical business partner to the Canadian Operations teams. This individual will be a key strategic partner responsible for delivering value-added business analysis and meaningful financial/operational reporting that leads to insightful business decision making and effective performance management. The individual will also work with their global team to communize the global suit of key product support performance indicators, key financial indicators as well as optimize our global budgeting, forecasting and pricing models.

**Job Description**:

- Lead financial planning and analysis for the Construction Business segment and Global Used business, focusing on proactively analyzing business performance and key performance metrics to provide analytical, strategic and financial support to senior leadership. Act as the financial ‘analytical engine’ for the Construction Business Segment and Global Used Business
- Spearhead the execution and integration of financial budgeting, planning and analysis programs and activities.
- Play a key role in monitoring the competitive environment to identify key trends and strategic business opportunities. Provide strategic decision support to the organization to identify opportunities for improved financial and business performance, and guide the regions in supporting and aligning with strategic corporate initiatives
- Develop monthly/quarterly reporting packages including financial statements, management presentations, comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, variance analysis, and executive commentary
- Develop financial models, valuations and metrics as well as perform analyses to support business investments.
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
- Engage with operating regional finance leadership as a proactive, trusted financial business partner and drive business and operational performance to improve financial outcomes
- Provide meaningful, value-added analysis and actionable recommendations to management to meet key performance targets and improve operational efficiencies
- Respond to ad hoc business requirements for management and prepare ad hoc reports providing recommendations / conclusions to management
- Identify and implement process efficiency improvements; continuously standardize and improve business and financial processes
- Play a key role in preparing presentations to Caterpillar, Finning Board, executives, leadership teams, and third parties
- Build, develop and manage a diverse and high-performing Regional team

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor degree in Finance or related degree
- Professional designation (CPA, CFA); MBA is preferred
- 10+ years’ of experience in a large company preferably with significant international exposure
- 7+ years’ experience leading large teams
