**Position Overview**

Installer in the summer building fences, operator in the winter running equipment such as sweeper, skid steer, plow truck, loader, back pack blower and various other tools.

Winter shifts require overnight and early mornings, shifts can vary in length, up to 12 hours during heavy snow events. Shifts are weather dependent, but we do guarantee 35 hours per week minimum even if you do not work.

Summer shifts are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm with weekends/holidays off. Monthly BBQ's, incentive programs and a killer farmers tan.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

Winter
- Operating equipment such as loaders, plows, skid steer and sander.
- Equipment maintenance
- Additional Training / Safety Certificates
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision

Summer
- Install various types of fence (vinyl, wood, ornamental, chain link)
- Dig post holes by hand or with equipment
- Mix cement for posts
- Use a variety of power tools
- Lifting heavy objects and materials such as cement bags, pipe, lumber

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Performing General Physical Activities: performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Handling and Moving Objects: using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials
- Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material: inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
- Performing for or Working Directly with the Public: performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores and receiving clients or guests
- Repairing Material Product: repairing, adjusting, and replacing damaged product

**Education & Training**:

- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Class 5 Drivers License and clean drivers abstract are required
- Fence, carpentry and/or construction experience is an asset
- Equipment experience is an asset
- Detail-orientated, motivated by getting things done right the first time
- Dedicated and work hard to achieve quality results and be willing to do the job according to company standards
- Communication and customer service skills

**Salary**: $24.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
