Camp Counselor

**Program Implementation**
- Assists in planning, supervising, and implementing camp schedule for children, ages 4-10
- Treats children with dignity and respect, and meets the needs of individual children with awareness of their interests, special talents and needs, cultural background, and individual learning styles
- Teaches skills and activities that may transfer into continuous learning outside of the camp program
- Motivates children to be physically active by implementing a variety of recreational activities
- Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of our program

**Communication**
- Communicates clearly and appropriately with children, parents, staff and others
- Maintains confidentiality
- Keeps clear lines of communication open with supervisor to flag issues & identify opportunities proactively

**Professionalism and Customer Service**
- Demonstrates outstanding customer service and value through daily actions, work habits and interactions with children, parents, and staff

**Specific Qualifications**
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and be able see, hear, and respond to children’s needs, including reaching high, stooping to the child’s level, sitting on the floor and getting up. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time (majority of a shift)
- Must have a passion for children's programming
- Camp experience is an asset
- Children programming experience an asset
- CPR and First Aid trained an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
