**Shifts Available and Hours**:
Onsite position
Weekly Rotating shifts, based on production schedule, as follows: 6 AM - 3 PM, 2 PM - 11 PM, 10 PM - 7 AM.
**Job Summary**:
**Required Education/Experience**:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Engineering training or equivalent experience in manufacturing or extrusion (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in aluminum extrusion (highly preferred)
**Preferred Skills/Qualifications**:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and management
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English (both spoken and written)
- Proficient in computer systems (experience with AS400 and AutoCAD is an asset)
- Willingness to work overtime as required
- Flexibility to work all three production shifts (6 AM - 3 PM, 2 PM - 11 PM, 10 PM - 7 AM) as needed
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the safety of the team throughout the extrusion production process
- Supervise and lead a team of unionized workers across all shifts
- Maintain consistent product quality throughout the extrusion process
- Achieve production targets and operational goals using lean management principles
- Oversee the extrusion process, ensuring optimal performance and addressing any issues that arise
- Participate in the employee payroll process and manage shift schedules
- Report daily production results, team performance, and any issues to management
- Continuously monitor and improve production efficiency and quality
- Perform any other related duties as assigned
