Merchandising Manager

Seasonal Full-Time Merchandiser Manager (6-month contract)**Summary**
- BTN is currently searching for a Merchandising Manager who will represent BTN in a large box store garden center environment primarily located in the GTA but will be expected to visit stores outside the region as needed. The Merchandising Manager will work closely with the National Account Manager (NAM) and cross-functional teams. This position is essential in ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, product maintenance, and overall visual garden center excellence.**Duties and Responsibilities**
- The Merchandising Manager will act as a field representative for BTN to oversee the daily garden center activities throughout the season. Responsibilities would include managing daily activities such as inventory feedback, stocking, replenishing needs, and merchandising of products, ensuring that the store looks visually appealing and complies with the store's planogram. You would also be responsible for collaborating with the store managers to ensure the quality and well-being of plant inventory. Assisting customers with their inquiries, and offering plant advice.**Job Skills & Requirements**
- Previous retail merchandising experience preferred, 2+ years- Knowledge of plants, gardening, and landscaping practices.- Assist in executing planograms for promotions and featured items.- Daily communication and support with store merchandising teams- Customer service experience. customer service oriented- Will tour the GTA area stores (about 30 stores) and provide daily feedback to the NAM and merchandising team- Vehicle required for travel between stores- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work within a team as well as cross-functional departments- Strong communication skills are needed to interact with store management and garden center customers- Strong reading skills needed to understand packaging labels and re-tagging projects-
**Work Conditions**
- Retail environment/outdoor garden centers- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner (steel-toe required) able to lift up to 50 lbs- Ability to learn and use merchandising software (ETGrow)-
- Driving License and reliable Motor Vehicle required to commute daily within the GTA**Additional Position Information**
- The job requires a flexible daytime schedule, Monday to Friday weekends as needed during the busy season, April to June
