Accessibility Advisor

Under the direction of the Manager, Student Accessibility - Fred Smithers Centre, the Accessibility determines individualized accommodations for clients of the Fred Smithers Centre to assist students in achieving an accessible and inclusive post-secondary environment and attaining their academic goals. Other responsibilities include:

- Provides advice to faculty/staff on effective resolutions to accommodation issues.
- Offers presentations on and off-campus both virtually and in person around accessibility issues.
- Assists with the test/exam invigilation process.
- Ensures client files are kept current, confidential, and accurate.
- Participates in client case reviews both virtually and in-person with other departments, advocates for client accommodations as required.

In the event that staff are working remotely, or asked to work remotely, during an event that does not allow staff to be on campus physically, job duties must be maintained or adjusted where possible to accommodate working in a virtual environment and maintaining student supports.

**Group affiliation for this position is with the Administrative, Professional & Confidential (APC) Group. The position is evaluated at a Group 5 (salary range $57,121 - $73,621). Salary scale can be viewed **here**.
