**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Perform food handling tasks, ensuring all items are prepared safely and hygienically.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Support cooks in various tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients as needed.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes to ensure high standards are met.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to prevent contamination or foodborne illnesses.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is required.
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 44 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hamilton, ON L8H 3Z4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Kitchen : 4 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (required)

Work Location: In person
