- **About the Job - highlights of the Budtender role**:_
- Exude an outgoing, warm, friendly, natural, helpful, generous and welcoming disposition to customers and team members that makes people happy to be at O&A + wanting to return
- Be a strong, competent salesperson meeting both individual and business goals
- Educate customers about cannabis and how to consume responsibly
- Help customers choose appropriate products based on their needs, preferences, requests and budgets - while building long-term, happy relationships
- Incorporate knowledge of business performance and targets into daily activities
- Troubleshoot customer, retail + POS questions/issues
- Proactively clean, tidy, organize, maintain or improve the store as soon as it’s needed
- Support back-of-house operations (e.g. inventory, marketing, merchandising, supplier relationships, budgeting, H&S) as requested
- Be actively involved in supporting team product knowledge
- Take on and be responsible for special projects as assigned
- Always be active and working “on” the store if there are no customers “in” the store (this is not the type of retail job where work stops or homework happens between customers)
- Maintain a high awareness of the store’s dynamic menu and contributing actively to the team’s learning of our products too
- Proactively learn new products, trends and developments in the cannabis industry at large
- **Keyholder**_
Highlights of the Keyholder role include the Budtender role, plus:
- Open/close store, including cashing-in and cashing-out
- Often act as the most senior person on duty, making important decisions about customer service, problem-solving, customer inquiries, returns, tricky situations and the regulations that govern our beloved controlled substanceall while maintaining grace, tact, kindness and professionalism
- Always be active and keep the rest of the team active/progressing their responsibilities - we’re a busy store there’s no “downtime” in between customers
- **Requirements - attitude**_
To succeed on our team, you’ve got to be:
- Humble, stable, emotionally intelligent, energetic, joyful, kind, hard-working, committed, articulate, wicked-smart and going places with your life.
- A great, natural conversationalist and LOVE connecting with people you’ve never met (i.e. many extrovert tendencies) and a natural instinct for reading people
- Strong demonstrated sales or customer service experience
- VERY coachable and embracing of new ways + standards of doing things
- SUPER high attention to detail and efficiencydoing things right - and at a good pace
- High team orientation - understanding + doing what’s needed so everyone can thrive

- Demonstrated knowledge of cannabis, the industry and legal cannabis products/accessories
- High school diploma
- Regular (daily) access to a mobile phone
- Fast, reliable transportation/access to the store
- A current CanSell certification + clean background check before starting work
- 2+ years of professional experience between customer service and retail roles
