POSITION: 1 Educator for the Before-School program at

our Ange Gabriel site,

School age teaching experience is preferable, and you need to be able to

Converse in French. French immersion is welcome, a great way to enhance your

French skills.

Hours: up to 15 hrs a week with the possibility of substituion hours

Start date: Immediately

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Diplomas or degrees in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth

care, or Recreation and Leisure Services
- Able to communicate in French
- Current First Aid, CPR and a Police Record Check with Vulnerable

Sector Check
- Up-to-date immunizations

COMPETENCIES:

- Strong knowledge of child development (4-12)
- Great interpersonal and relationship-building skills with children,

parents, and coworkers
- Creative, takes initiative, plans ahead
- Can handle stressful situations as they arise
- Ability to work independently and within a team dynamic
- Experience in a preschool and school-age program is an asset

JOB DUTIES:

- Responsible for providing care and education to children 1-12 years of

age in a group setting which meets the standards of the Early Years

Act, Code of Ethics and the Policies and procedures of the St John

Bosco Children’s Centre.
- Programming, planning, and facilitating a balance of appropriate

activities
- Guiding children’s behaviour through discussion and logical sequences
- Communicating with parents on an on a daily basis.

Pay: $21.89-$24.86 per hour
