Class 1 Driver

As a Class 1 Driver for our Winnipeg and Saskatoon routes you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport and delivery of goods to designated locations. This position requires a Driver able to be out of town for at least two to three nights per week and adherence to strict safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies to ensure compliance and exceptional service delivery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries, ensuring all necessary signatures and receipts are obtained to track shipments and verify deliveries.
- Transport and deliver loads according to specified requirements and schedules, ensuring timely and safe delivery to designated locations.
- Move and stage trailers as directed by the company, ensuring they are positioned efficiently and safely

- and post-trip inspections of trucks, documenting any findings accurately to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition for operation.
- Strap and unstrap trucks to secure loads safely, adhering to safety standards to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
- Uphold all necessary certifications aligned with DOT (Department of Transportation), MOT (Ministry of Transportation), Health & Safety regulations, and company policies to ensure compliance and safe operations.
- Operate cranes as required, adhering strictly to safety protocols to facilitate loading and unloading operations.
- Maintain detailed records of delivery routes, logs, and incident reports to track movements and ensure accurate documentation of activities.
- Verify product deliveries at customer locations, manage customer invoices, and provide exceptional customer service through direct communication, both in-person and over the phone.
- Efficiently schedule and update delivery schedules to meet customer demands and optimize logístical operations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management, contributing to the overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications
- Class 1 Driver's Licence is required.
- Clean Drivers Abstract, B-train experience would be an asset.
- Ability to be out of town at least two nights per week
- Crane Truck operating experience preferred.
- Forklift Operation experience is required.
- Forklift certification is considered as an asset.
- Drive manual / automatic transmission.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and practices.
- Be willing to work overtime when required.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Must be willing to be cross trained.
