In this position, you will contribute to the evolution of our product roadmap, make informed priority decisions, and cultivate a profound understanding of both customer requirements and business imperatives. As the Associate Product Manager, you will play a crucial supporting role to the Senior Product Manager, specifically focusing on the enhancement of our search experience and associated functionalities. This includes a deep knowledge of the Algolia and Algonomy platforms. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the seamless integration of new features and updates into the search experience, inclusive of product recommendations. This will involve adeptly managing projects, as well as leading and coordinating cross-functional scrum teams. Your collaborative efforts will extend to our key business partners, such as Site-operations, Merchandising, IT, UX, and Analytics. By fostering close, working relationships, you will ensure the successful alignment of our search and recommendations products with broader business objectives. A core facet of your role will be the analysis of both existing and emerging data streams, enabling you to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. This data-driven approach will empower you to implement enhancements and features that contribute to the refinement of our product offerings.

**Specifically, You Will**:

- Assist in creating and maintaining the product roadmap. Collaborate with senior product managers to prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business goals and customer requirements.
- Clearly define and prioritize product challenges and opportunities, create stories in collaboration with business, technology and operations teams and manage a coherent product backlog.
- Manage the end-to-end product development process, ensuring timely delivery of features and releases. Coordinate tasks, set deadlines, and track progress to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Coordinate testing efforts to ensure product functionality, performance, and quality meet the required standards. Identify and address any issues or bugs that arise during testing.
- Analyze user data, feedback, and metrics to gain insights into user behavior and product performance. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and suggest improvements.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to gather and document detailed product requirements. Translate customer and business needs into clear specifications.
- Create and socialize the customer and business rationale (Customer Impact & ROI business cases) for relevant product enhancements to champion and communicate the product vision.
- Compile, development, and present actionable insights to drive business decisions aimed at meeting departmental and organizational objectives.
- Create and maintain documentation such as user guides, release notes, and product documentation for internal teams and external users.
- Assist in coordinating product launches, ensuring all teams are prepared for a successful release.
- Actively seek ways to enhance product processes, workflows, and team collaboration for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide troubleshooting, monitoring, and problem resolution to all internal and external contacts.

**Some of what you need**:

- BS/BA degree or equivalent (MBA an asset)
- Agile certification an asset
- A proactive self-starter and thought leader who can collaborate among a variety of departments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail with self-discipline, strong ownership, accountability, and drive for results
- Experience working with and understanding of the online search experience and tools
- Analyzing and solving problems in an efficient, detailed, and methodical manner
- Ability to convey complex analytics understandably to non-technical levels
- Advanced understanding of business processes, standards, and practices around online search and product recommendation
- Knowledge of data workflows
- 2-3 years of experience with ecommerce solutions or processes, specifically related to search and product recommendations is preferred
- Experience with both Agile and an understanding of Scrum/Kanban.
- Demonstrated success in working within cross functional teams and effective project management and analytical/decision-making skills
