The scope of the day-porter role is a light-duty janitorial service and the person needs to work well on their own, be reliable, professional, and able to interact well with the customer’s team (and their customers) who will be present on a daily basis.

It’s centrally located in Victoria with great access to public transport.

Additional hours are available with this customer account surrounding special events (they have 5 to 10 every month, fewer in the summer) which yield an additional 20 - 40 hours per month - this additional work would be in the evenings, with schedule dates known well in advance.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the facility, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants.

**Duties**:

- Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
- Sweep and mop floors, including buffing and floor care as required
- Maintain common areas by keeping them clean and organized
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies inventory
- Follow all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, commercial cleaning, or custodial services is preferred
- Knowledge of buffing, floor care, and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus
- Ability to clean and maintain various surfaces effectively
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
