Automotive Apprentice

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the automotive repair industry. As an apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning essential skills and techniques necessary for a successful career in automotive service. Your mechanical knowledge and ability to work with various tools will be key in assisting with vehicle maintenance and repairs.

**Duties**:

- Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing vehicles using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues and service recommendations, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance mechanical knowledge and skills related to automotive repair.
- Support the team in heavy lifting tasks as needed during repairs or part replacements.

**Requirements**:

- Basic mechanical knowledge is essential; previous experience in automotive repair is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and their proper usage is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to automotive systems.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively with a team.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or maintenance tasks.
- A valid driver's license is preferred for test-driving vehicles when necessary.
