Join us as we provide photo souvenirs to guests at the Gananoque dock for City Experiences cruises. We operate seasonally from May-Oct, and are looking for an excellent Assistant Manager to join our team
**ASSISTANT MANAGER**
The Assistant Local Manager is a seasonal team co-leader responsible for supporting the Local Manager to ensure smooth and efficient photo operations at City Cruises in Ontario. Assistant Managers must be able to perform, train and coach every role. The Assistant Manager assists in motivating associates to deliver a magical experience for every guest. Assistant Manager(s) report to the Local Manager, within the Souvenir Division of Cherry Hill Programs, known as Photogenic, Inc. (PGI).
**Requirements**:
- Mandatory attendance at training sessions (online/on-site)
- Professional attire (in uniform during season) and good hygiene is required; your personal appearance reflects on the company and you. Assistant Manager is responsible for furnishing black dress pants, and closed toe black shoes with black soles. The Company will provide the necessary uniform shirt.
- Availability and flexibility to work Sunday through Saturday (primarily Friday, Saturday, and Sunday when busiest)
- Covid vaccination required per company policy
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
- Assist with supervising and coaching team members to ensure operations run smoothly, efficiently and in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Assist with scheduling and monitoring team clocking in/out according to scheduled shifts
- Ensure timely and accurate transmittal of required data/reports: Inventories, Online Schedules (where applicable), Payroll, hiring forms on TalentReef and personnel changes during season, Daily Sales Reports and Incident Reports, if/when necessary
- Bank Deposits: Assist Manager to ensure bank deposits are made, verifying Deposit Log and including credit card slips with financial paperwork
- Follow Company Policies and Procedures
- Ensure equipment and inventory are secured appropriately
- Ensure supplies and consumables are not wasted
- Assists in establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with Local Manager, Regional Manager, team members, cruise personnel and staff, and build/maintain a positive image for the Company at your location
- Become thoroughly familiar with all training materials
- Learn to troubleshoot equipment where/when possible
**Education/Experience**
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Supervisory experience and/or qualities
- Retail experience
**Language Ability**
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business forms
- Strong communication skills
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**
- Proven customer service skills
- Photography background considered an asset but not necessary
- Ability to assist in hiring and onboarding staff
- Ability to train/motivate team, provide instructions effectively
- Teamwork skills: ability to build, manage, motivate, and lead a TEAM
- Ability to prioritize, manage time and multi-task
- Ability to operate camera, printers and other equipment, as required
- Ability to problem solve effectively
- Basic Math skills
