Patient Food Services provides meals to inpatients at both University Hospital and Victoria Hospital based on the physician prescribed diet and allergies listed. Patients are provided a menu based on their prescribed diet so they can make meal selections for the following day. A lot of research, preparation, and care go into each meal served by LHSC Food Services to ensure patients receive choices that meet their unique nutritional needs, tastes, preferences, and allergy requirements.
**Job Summary**:
**What the Role is**
Reporting to the Manager, Food Services the Coordinator, Tray Assembly & Food Services is accountable for day-to-day department activities, including the management of human and material resources, day-to-day staffing and scheduling, development and support of a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measurements, and facilitation of improvement initiatives and change management, while operating within approved operational budgets and financial guidelines and controls.
A major focus of the role is fostering effective working relationships and linkages within the team especially between clinical area leaders, support service team members, clinical dietitians, dietetic assistants, speech language pathologists and Information Technology Service team members.
The Food Services Department leadership team will enhance the quality, safety and care experience for our patients. The Coordinator will build the collaborative team to enhance the research, teaching and activities, in pursuit of becoming the most advanced Food Services Department in Canada.

**What You Will Bring with You**
- Successful completion of a recognized baccalaureate degree program in Human Nutrition and Dietetics
- Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Related post-graduate education preferred
- Minimum five (2) years’ experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles in a healthcare environment, preferably in an acute care academic teaching hospital
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Food Services preferred
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
