**Radiation Health Physicist** to support projects with the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U. S. Department of Defense. Projects will involve a variety of engineering design support and field implementations for radiological assessments and remediation, decommissioning, plan development, data evaluation, desktop research and document reviews. Must have experience in environmental projects that evaluate soil, groundwater, surface water, or sediments. Projects could be executed under EPA, NRC, Agreement States, USACE, or Tribal Agency authority and may include investigations, risk assessments, feasibility studies, engineering analysis, remedial actions, and closures.

Project responsibilities will be to provide active oversight and ongoing support for implementation of radiation protection measures, defining, documenting, implementing, evaluating and coaching RP technicians, and monitoring the Contractor’s RP Program.

Qualifications and professional knowledge must include the following:

- RP Program requirements
- Internal and external dosimetry
- Mathematical calculations related to the role
- Radiological release limits under Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) licensing and regulatory requirements
- CNSC regulatory requirements
- Transport of dangerous goods (CNSC and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA )Regulations)
- ALARA planning and process principles
- Training and development of RP Technicians and Nuclear Energy Workers
- Emergency Response
- RP Instrumentation, equipment, PPE
- Project radioisotopes of concern and risk mitigating measures.

**Education & Experience**

University Bachelor’s degree in Science, Health Physics, or Engineering and a minimum of 3 years (36 months) Operational Radiation Protection or Operational Health Physics experience acting in an oversight or management capacity.

ECC targeted salary range for this position in Port Hope, ON is $130,000 to $160,000 annually.
