Please note that there are two positions open. One educator position for an infant/toddler room and one educator position for a preschool room.

- Serving children ages 0 months to 6 years
- Program runs 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. - Monday to Friday
- 7.5 hour shift with a 1 hour unpaid break, Monday to Friday
- Location: 105 12 Ave SE, Calgary, AB, T2G 1A1

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment to all the children in the facility
- Meeting the emotional, social, physical, intellectual needs of the children
- Implementing open-ended art activities to encourage the use of their imagination which makes them confident in sharing their own unique ideas
- Arranging the classroom environment to meet the program’s vision and objectives
- Continually observing and assessing children in the group and creating individual portfolios to document each child’s growth and development
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Keeping all relevant records, checklists, attendance and timesheets updated
- Attending staff meetings, internal and external workshops
- Assuring that all licensing regulations are understood and met

Qualifications, Skills and Professional Attributes
- Alberta Child Care Certification level 2 minimum
- Valid First Aid Certificate and Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Search
- Demonstrate knowledge of current best practices and work standards in Early Learning and Childhood Care and Education
- Experience in observing, documenting and planning an emergent program
- Knowledge of Alberta’s curriculum model FLIGHT an asset
- Demonstrate knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulation
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with families and colleagues
- Demonstrate teamwork abilities and flexibility
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Willing to learn, open to feedback and shared leadership
- Willing to participate in professional development opportunities
