Cowichan Woodwork Ltd. is located in the heart of Cobble Hill working in a newer building with a custom shop and showroom to offer staff and clients a unique experience when they visit for the first time. Our shop has the latest finishing and spraying technology with two machines able to work simultaneously. Our shop has all the tools necessary at your disposal which you will use to finish producing client projects.

**YOU MATTER.**

**What your role as a wood finisher team member looks like**:

- Prepare and sand solid wood and MDF for finishing.
- Scuff sand between coats.
- Spray primer/ sealer coats.
- Spray topcoats.
- Spray or wipe stain.
- Preform daily cleanup and maintain equipment.
- Wrap, label and pack finished products.
- Understand cabinetry plans and ensure finishing job completeness.
- Assist Lead Finisher

**Qualifications and Skills that would be an asset**:

- Previous wood finishing and paint spraying experience
- Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and following directions thoroughly
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to be self-motivated
- Ability to solve issues as they arise

**Training opportunities provided**:

- Paint Spraying Equipment operation and maintenance
- Paint Booth operation and maintenance.
- Wood finishing, stain, lacquer, paint, prep and sanding.
- Cross training for the rest of the shop and installation will be available
- Forklift certification.
- WHIMIS certification.
- First aid certification.
