**About the Role**:
The Digital Asset Librarian plays a pivotal role in managing and organizing PI Fine Art’s digital asset library. This role involves overseeing the efficient organization, accessibility, and maintenance of all digital assets, ensuring they meet industry standards and support various departments across the organization. The librarian will be responsible for streamlining workflows related to digital assets, providing guidance and support to internal teams, and ensuring seamless integration with our Adobe AEM DAM and Dynamic Media platforms. This role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize asset management processes and contribute to the success of our digital transformation initiatives.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Digital Asset Management & Metadata Standards:
- Organize, catalog, and maintain digital assets using Adobe AEM DAM.
- Create and implement consistent metadata standards and taxonomies to enhance usability.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity and asset quality.
- Resolve issues related to metadata accuracy or asset quality.
- Ensure assets are tagged and categorized for easy retrieval, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the DAM system is optimized for performance, accessibility, and scalability.
User Support & Training:
- Train and assist internal teams in utilizing the DAM system.
- Support users with asset searches, uploads, and downloads to ensure seamless workflows.
- Develop and maintain documentation for DAM processes, standards, and best practices.
- Create user guides and training materials to promote effective use of the system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal users regarding DAM-related queries or issues.
- Conduct regular training sessions or workshops to ensure users are proficient in using the DAM system.
Collaboration & System Administration:
- Partner with creative, marketing, and production teams to understand their digital asset needs and optimize workflows.
- Manage user permissions, access rights, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors for system updates and troubleshooting Identify opportunities to enhance asset management processes and contribute to digital transformation projects.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure assets are shared and used efficiently across the organization.
- Evaluate new technologies and trends in digital asset management, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Management, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Hands-on expertise in digital asset organization and metadata management.
- Strategic thinker who balances technical execution with long-term planning.
- Collaborative leader with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering teamwork. 4+ years of experience in digital asset management, ideally with Adobe AEM DAM or similar platforms.
- Adobe AEM - Digital Librarian Certification.
- Expertise in metadata standards, taxonomies, and DAM best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and improve workflows.
- Proven success in maintaining quality standards and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to train and support users at all levels and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
