**IT MANAGER**
The IT Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. As a successful incumbent, you will plan, coordinate and direct IT-related activities of McKeil Marine. You will also provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. You will be responsible for defining and implementing IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
**Key Duties/Accountabilities**
- Responsible for the overall “Systems Uptime” of the company’s infrastructure.
- Responsible for the Network Operating team, Software development services and Helpdesk support team.
- Conducts operational planning, project planning; organizing and negotiating allocation of resources, in conjunction with all relevant departments.
- Manage deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all Infrastructure systems, including servers, operating systems, hardware, software, storage area networks and backup systems.
- Benchmark, analyze report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Oversee provision of the IT Service Desk for end-user services and technical support services for all users.
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.
- Keep current with the latest technologies.
- Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including budgeting and budget review.
- Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio, provide direction for annual goals/objectives.
- Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
- Overall responsibility for safeguarding all information systems by identifying and solving potential and actual security threats and problems which is controlled by way of access privileges, control structures and resources.
- Establish and maintain regular communications with Operations, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
- Other duties, regulations and responsibilities as required from time to time.

**Education and Experience**
- University Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience preferably in Information Technology combined with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in various aspects of IT including (Application Development/Support, Server & Network design/development/support, Analysis or Project Management)
- Strong Project Management background with 4 years of experience, preferably PMP certified.
- Technical certification from Microsoft or Cisco Certification would be desirable;
- MIcrosoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA)
- Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA)
- Cisco Certified Entry Level Technician (CCENT)
- ITIL Foundations (ITIL v3)
- Strong technical knowledge of the following system operating systems: Win2xxx, XP, and Linux and Windows based Networks.
- Strong technical knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards including strong knowledge of Cisco.
- Proven experience creating business cases as well as developing and managing budgets. Has a solid understanding of financial systems and the financial implications of decisions.

- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
