**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced French tutor to provide immersive, structured language instruction to our two homeschooled children, ages 10 and 12, with the goal of achieving conversational fluency in French. The tutor will work directly with our children in a focused, one-on-one or small-group setting for 3 hours each day, 4 days per week, prioritizing interactive and practical language skills. This intensive program is designed to take advantage of a flexible homeschool curriculum, enabling a customized approach to language acquisition.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a structured French language curriculum tailored to reach fluency within 4-6 months.
- Conduct interactive, engaging lessons focused on conversation, grammar, reading, and writing.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit each child’s learning style, ensuring lessons are effective, enjoyable, and encouraging.
- Provide feedback on progress, offering guidance on areas for improvement.
- Create immersive learning experiences, including conversational practice, cultural elements, and vocabulary-building exercises.

**Qualifications**:

- **Fluency in French** (native or near-native proficiency) is required.
- **Teaching or tutoring experience** with children, especially in language instruction.
- Familiarity with immersive and accelerated language acquisition techniques.
- Ability to create a flexible, engaging curriculum that meets fluency goals within the designated timeframe.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for language education.

**Preferred**:

- Background in French language education or certification.

**Compensation**: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 10 - 14 per week
