**Quality Technician I**

**KML Windows Inc.**, a division of Andersen Corporation, currently has an opening for a Quality Technician I.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies.
- Create, distribute, and maintain controlled Quality documentation including, but not limited to Standard Works, Job Breakdown Analysis, Work Instructions, Control Plans, Forms, Quality Alerts, Quality Sort Records etc.
- Interface directly with suppliers regarding non-conformances, utilize Andersen’s corrective action system.
- Complete Quality inspections such as product audits, 1st off samples, lab tests, incoming inspections etc.
- Perform capability and MSA/Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R) studies and analyze variances.
- Calibration activities
- Support and help resolve product and material issues found in Production areas using Product and Process Specifications and root cause analysis.
- Provide support to operators, supervisors, and managers on all areas of Quality Assurance
- Assist in identifying training needs and propose ideas to improve quality metrics and standard work processes.
- Learn, understand, and implement Andersen Management Systems (AMS) and continuous improvement concepts.
- Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
- Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning.
- Perform other duties as needed as directed by management.

**QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Willingness to pursue Quality Assurance Certificate through a recognized college (if applicant does not already possess)
- Previous experience with Quality Systems (ISO9000, ISO/TS16949), Auto CAD/Inventor and CMM is considered an asset.
- Possess strong organizational, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand reports.
- Possess communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.
