**Job Summary**:
The sonographer is a key role within Northstar Cardiology. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in both pediatric and fetal echocardiography. Requiring advanced knowledge of pediatric and fetal cardiac imaging, physiology, and disease, you will perform high-quality echocardiography, complete a detailed report, and demonstrate strong, independent critical thinking skills while ensuring efficient patient flow. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the review and development of scanning protocols, accreditation, and assist in training of new learners. You are a team player that is committed to continuous improvement and providing an exceptional experience for patients and families.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate of an extended diploma in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited ultrasound program recognized by Sonography Canada and American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS); or
- Certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program recognized by Sonography Canada and the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) plus a Diploma in a related field (medical radiology, magnetic, resonance imaging, nuclear medicine or radiation therapy) or a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field; and
- Hold current certification with Sonography Canada or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)

**Skills**:

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (other languages an asset)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic echocardiography
- Fetal and pediatric cardiology experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency using Accuro EMR and Syngo.Dynamics an asset

**Physical Demands**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and repetitive hand and arm movements
- Frequent living, pushing, pulling, and positioning of patients
- Exposure to biohazards materials and disinfectants

Expected hours: 8 - 32 per week

**Experience**:
